He is a Professor at the Mechanical Engineering Department, School of Engineering, The University of Jordan, Amman-Jordan. Director and founder of the Renewable Energy Master Program at the University of Jordan. Also, the director and founder of Environmental Technology and Climate Change Master Program at the University of Jordan. Ex-Director of Water, Energy and Environment Center at the University of Jordan. Also, Ex-Director of Energy Center at the University of Jordan. A former chairman of the Mechanical Engineering Department at the University of Jordan. A consultant and Expert in the design and selection of a Photovoltaic systems and the instructor of PV course for the master program at the University of Jordan. Prof. Al-Salaymeh is very active in the field of Renewable Energy, Energy Efficiency and Water management. He participated in many national and international workshops in the field of the Solar Energy, Photovoltaic, Biomass and Bio fuel in addition to the water management. He published many papers in the international Journals and participated in many scientific conferences. Prof. Al-Salaymeh is an assessor for Jordan Accreditation System (JAS). Also; he is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and Certified Carbon Reduction Manager (CRM) and authorized trainer for the Association of Energy Engineer-AEE, USA. He was the general coordinator for a Tempus project for establishing a master program in environmental engineering and climate change (MAPEC) and an Erasmus+ project entitled “Modernization of teaching methodologies in higher education (METHODS)”. Also; he is currently the general coordinator for two Erasmus+ projects: the first is entitled ”Development of Environmental engineering courses and injection of climate change concept for Undergraduate (EGREEN)” and the second is entitled “Development of Interdisciplinary training program on Art Therapy in Higher Educational Institutions (HEALING)”. In addition, he has been the contact person for more 16 Erasmus+ projects at UJ. Prof. Al-Salaymeh is a very well known in the management of EU projects and he has a very extensive experience in management and coordination.
